WOW and I mean WOW!!! What a place!
Literally fallen in love with New York, I was there 4 years ago, but I don't remember much. Now that I went back, I didn’t want to leave! There is something different at every corner, so many different people in one place. You turn the block and hear a new language, French, Spanish, German, Danish, English of course and even Russian, pretty much any language you could think of.
It’s such a charming place, there are old buildings, modern buildings, the flowers that bring so much color to the city in Spring, I can only imagine how beautiful it must be in Autumn. Actually, I wrote something while I was in Central Park, I was just so inspired, so we sat down and I wrote this on my phone:
I am sitting in a bench feeling so happy. There are different types of art in every stand, walk a little further and you will find someone that plays the drums, violins, guitars, even the saxophones, in one ear I can hear people cheering and in the other music. There are also SO many types of flowers and trees! From orchids to tulips, even cherry blossom trees. I don't think that you are ever going to find a moment where there is nothing new to see or explore. I wanted to take a picture of everything, I just couldn’t believe how such an amazing fresh air place, could be in the middle of the city that never sleeps. I think it’s nice to have a park like that, if you are tired of the busy city, take a walk in Central Park and you will feel refreshed.
When I was sitting in the metro, I looked around myself and saw so many people, from so many places. I tried to make a story of why they had a happy or sad face, I wondered what they were listening to with their headphones on? Where they were of to? If they had a suitcase, were they going on vacation? Maybe they were visiting their grandma? Maybe they were going on a business trip?
One of the days we went to a danish restaurant and it literally took me back to Denmark, it was so good! We visited the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, Washington park (there was someone playing a grand piano in the middle of the park, that’s something you don’t see everyday!), we also went shopping (in one of the stores there was a woman with a big bird on her shoulder paying for her stuff, that’s something you only see in New York!). It was an amazing trip, but the best part was definitely visiting one of my best friends that just moved there. It was so nice seeing her again, talking about life, catching up, and being together having lots of fun. It was hard leaving and I will miss her a lot, that’s for sure, but I know we will see each other again.
I hope you enjoyed this post and if you ever get the chance to visit New York, I couldn’t recommend it enough.
Where would you like to travel?
Remember, BE YOU.
